Grenville House 2016
Monday 14th November to Friday 18th November 2016
Dear Parents and Carers of children currently in Years 4 and 5,
Next November seems a long way away but the time has come to start making plans for our residential trip, for our pupils who will be in Years 5 and 6 next academic year.
Grenville House is in Brixham and we will be staying there for four nights and taking part in outdoor activities such as canoeing, caving, abseiling, raft building and rock climbing. In the past, groups of our children have had a tremendously enjoyable time learning new skills and how to survive away from home for a few days as well as covering an important aspect of the National Curriculum as they take part in outdoor and adventurous activities and build team skills.
The price will be £230. This covers the cost of the overnight accommodation, professional instruction, equipment and transport; the only additional cost will be a small amount of pocket money so that the children can buy a souvenir on the final morning. Help is available for those families who receive free school meals.
If you would like your child to take part in this exciting week please give your consent on the School Gateway, along with the first payment of £60 by Friday 26th June. Additional payments are due as follows:
£60 by 31st July
£60 by 31st August
£50 by 30th September
If this payment schedule will not be possible for you then please contact the School office as soon as possible so that a mutually agreed payment plan can be put in place.
We are always very grateful for parental help. Please consider if you can help the school, even if it is for part of the week. If you would like to know more, please ask Miss Philpott.
We will send out more information about packing and arrangements closer to our departure date and at the ‘Meet the Teacher’ session in September.
Miss Philpott/Mr Billinghurst
