It really does feel like summer is on its way with the lovely weather we have experienced this week.
We have made the most of it and been outside for PE – this was great using all of the new space we have.
At the beginning of the week we used a classification key to sort aliens, carefully looking at their features to identify them – what funny names they had!
Our trip to Dawlish Warren helped us to write our diaries, explaining what we saw and writing first-hand. We used the nature reserve website to look at the sightings of the rare and adapted species at Dawlish. As it’s a Special Place of Scientific Interest (SSSI) numbers are hopefully on the increase.
In Maths we are making the links to fractions and decimals and understanding that the position of the digit plays an important part when writing and making the largest and smallest decimal numbers using same digits.
We look forward to seeing parents tomorrow for our open morning from 8:45-9:10 – come on up to Oak Class.
Attached are also the spelling lists for both Year 4 and 5 – have a go at learning them at home.
Enjoy the sun!
