There has been lots going on in Oak class this week.

On Monday we started our E Safety work on how to stay safe on-line using a film called Play, Like, Share and starring Ellie, Alfie and Sam and the bands Selfie and The Pop Corn Wizards. Next week we’ll continue to learn about how to use social media safely and what to do if something goes wrong.

On Tuesday we experimented with how we could lift great big weights (like a meteorite) whilst only using a small amount of force as we discovered the power of levers. Who knew that we could balance a lump of playdough with a couple of kilogram weights?

Wednesday was our Harvest Service: all the children contributed to our performance of Acorn by Robert McFarlane and it was lovely to hear a small group read their own acrostic poems. Thank you to all who contributed gifts to the Okehampton Foodbank.

Thursday there was French and on Friday a few members of the class were missing as they took part in the North Tawton Football and Netball Tournaments.

Next week we will be gardening with Chantel on Thursday so please bring your wellies and your conkers!
