News from the Headteacher

Thank you to all the parents, family and friends who joined us at St. Michael’s Church on Monday for our Harvest celebration. It was a lovely service and all the donations of food will be greatly appreciated.

On Thursday is was the school census day and we had a great uptake on school dinner numbers. We are always looking for feedback and comments from parents about our meals. If you have any comments please email them to

In order to comply with new General Data Protection Regulations coming into force in May 2018, in the next week we will be sending out a number of School Gateway consent requests to all parents regarding photographs and medical treatment. This information is extremely important to us, so please take five minutes to log into your Gateway account and update your preferences by 20th October 2017 .

Thank you to all those parents who have returned their Data Collection Sheet recently. If you still have this your sheet at home, please return it to the school office by next Friday. If your copy has been lost, do pop in and see Ayesha for re-print. It is vital that we have accurate, up to date contact information for you in the event of an emergency.

GOOD FOUNDATIONS – It is exciting to see the work on our new school going on around us and any builder knows that getting the foundations in properly is very important. In the Bible, it says ‘Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain.’ We want to make sure that that as well as lots of concrete, our new school will be founded on what really matters – love, growing in understanding and being a place where every member of the school family is valued. One way of expressing this has been the placing of Bibles previously used in our school within the new foundations. Another way will be the placing of our time capsule on Wednesday 18th October.    Revd Paul
