As you know, the last day of term is 20th July, and as a staff we will be finishing packing up to move into our wonderful new school building on the 22nd and 23rd July.
From 24th July onwards, the old school will become part of the Kier building site area and will be out of bounds to all staff and pupils.
The demolition process will then begin. This will follow a detailed and controlled process that meets all Health and Safety Executive standards. For clarification, this process is detailed in a separate blog which you can read here. http://chagford-primaryschool.org/demolition/
If you have any questions, these can be directed to Kier.
We are all looking forward to welcoming pupils back into our new building in September!
Girls Kwik Cricket and the Dartmoor Cup
On Tuesday 12th of June the Chagford A team went to Newton abbot Cricket Pitch. We were in a group with Oldway Primary and Old Priory Primary. We played Old Priory first and won by quite a bit. We then played Oldway Primary and lost but only by 30 runs. There were 3 groups in total and Oldway Primary won the group but the highest scoring teams also entered the semi-finals, which was us! We played the runners up of group one and won so we got through to the finals, where we faced Oldway Primary again. We lost by only 1 run and came second overall. By Malena Year 6
On Thursday 14th June, eight our the year 5&6 girls went to Bovey Tracy cricket ground to play in the County finals of the girls Kwik Cricket. We lost to Plymouth Prep School in our first game then we beat Woodbury Primary and got into the semi finals, where we played against Oldway Primary and won by 1 run! We were then in the finals against Stockland and lost by just 3 runs to come in second place. By Trilby Year 6
