This week we played football and netball against Okehampton Primary School. Here are some match reports:
We got to Okehampton Primary School and walked down to the bottom court. The Okehampton team were quite tall but had blue bibs on so we wore yellow bibs. We played really well, our A team lost 1-2. The B team had freezing fingers so they did really well but lost 0-1. Overall Okehampton won but it was a good match and we left feeling confident if not freezing but in good spirits. Natasha
Our match against Okehampton was challenging. We played well in the first half but the scores were 2-1. For the first half the A team played impressively but in the end we lost. Joe S
Yesterday our two school football teams travelled to Okehampton to play on their (amazing) all-weather pitch. The A1’s had a good first half keeping the score to 1-1. 2nd half Okehampton started strong, quickly going 3-1 ahead, Chagford got one back for 3-2 but whilst we were searching for the equaliser Oke broke away to make 4-2. Goalscorers were Henry and Toby.
The A2″s also had a tough game narrowly losing 2-1 with another great goal from Cass. Well done to both teams, first time we have scored this many goals against Oke in years! Especially well done to the new players, Harley and Mickey. Everyone had to do a huge amount of running about, given the hugeness of the pitch. A1’s end a tremendous year having played 15 league & tournament games: Winning 9, Drawing 2, Losing 4, Scoring 21 & Conceding 9. Oh, and they won the North Tawton Schools Cup, did I mention that? Brilliant stuff! Craig
As part of works on behalf of South West Water Developer Services, mains water supply to the new development off Lower Street, Chagford will be installed. To complete this work it will be necessary to use two way traffic lights on the road adjacent to the Fire Station, access to the school will not be affected however there will be some parking restrictions in the area. This will have a knock on effect so please be sure to allow enough time for picking up and dropping off. The work is due to start on Monday and is expected to finish on Tuesday 12 December 2017.
With it being such as busy time, we would like to remind everyone that the Christmas meal is opt out so if you do not wish your child to have Christmas dinner you must let the office know asap.
