Another exciting week in the new building, as walls are being painted in the lovely colour palette, and doors are being hung to all rooms. At our progress meeting today, we also saw that some very important kit had been delivered, ready to be fitted!
The Dragonflies had an interesting trip to Lyme Regis, fossil hunting as part of their class topic this term. The children were very well behaved and a credit to the school. They all returned; rather tired but having learnt lots of additional information to use in their learning in class.
Today the Year 5 and 6 pupils have been to ‘We the Curious’ in Bristol as part of their learning and we will update you on all their activities over the day either through the class blogs or in next weeks newsletter. I would like to congratulate the Year 6 pupils on how well they conducted themselves during the challenging SATs this week. They have all taken care of each other over this period and I am sure they will have all achieved well. The rest of the children have played their part and walked quietly around the school during the testing and were very considerate of their peers. Well done to all concerned and the teachers and school staff, who supported the Year 6’s during this week. I hope that they all have a well earned rest over the weekend.
Next week we have plenty of sporting opportunities happening, with the first round of the Dartmoor Cricket Cup and the Weaver Cross Country Cup – so watch this space!
