We have a busy couple of weeks ahead before half term, Dragonflies class will be heading to Lyme Regis, fossil walk and museum, Beetles and Bee’s class to Bristol to see the We the Curious museum. Both these trip are amazing, fun and educational, and we have been very lucky that the PTFA have help cut the cost for the trips by paying for the transport. We still need parents to make a donation towards the costs of entrance into the museums. If you have not done so already please log onto your school gateway account and give your consent, make a donation and inform us about any health concerns such as asthma or travel sickness. While the donations are voluntary, if we do not receive enough donations, unfortunately on occasion, trips may need to be cancelled.
School gateway accounts include trips, fixtures, dinner money and schools out including after school club and breakfast club and monies transferred from Libacura. Please check your account for information on events and make payments on any overdue payments as they soon mount up. If you are unsure of any charges please come and talk to the school office and we shall help.
The new school build is coming along at a rate, with flooring being laid to the kitchen and wet areas this week. Now the scaffolding is coming down, we are getting a real sense of what the new school will look like. During the last few weeks of term in July, we will be busy packing crates in some of our shared areas like the library. We are still working through the detailed move programme with the contractor but if any parents are able to help at all, please drop us an email.
A huge thank you to Mr Jon Bint who kindly donated his time, van and trailer to collect free, reused furniture for our new school building from Devon County Council.
