Another busy week has flown by. The children have made the most of the dry weather. Plenty of care was taken when we planted seeds and  seedlings in big pots just outside. Our newly planted vegetables and flowers will have plenty to drink over the weekend! Inside we have been very busy too. Teamwork in class has been great: in drama, maths, computing, art and music.

Money has continued as a focus in maths. Please continue to provide practical experience at home: counting, shopping and calculating change.

We have all been enjoying the story ‘But Martin’ in literacy. An alien comes to school and has lots of entertaining attributes. We have invented our own individual stories using the same basic idea, with lots of amusing results. Well done Grasshoppers! A focus in phonics has been words ending in ‘tion’, such as ‘caption’ and ‘potion’. You would be surprised by how many we can think of!

We are looking forward to our assembly next Thursday at 3:00pm. Please do join us if you are able.

Wishing you all a safe and happy weekend!

With best wishes,

Catherine Thomas
