Required to start September 2017, We have a thriving Foundation Stage Unit at Chagford Church of England Primary School, operating closely alongside the Reception Class. We are looking for an outstanding individual with a creative approach to learning to work across the unit, predominantly in the Reception class alongside the class teacher (three days per week), but also in the preschool (hours to be discussed at interview). The successful candidate will be an energetic, personable and enthusiastic practitioner, with at least an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Early Years childcare and evidence of good numeracy and literacy skills. You will be able to work and plan collaboratively within a team to support pupils and you may act as Key Worker for pupils in the preschool. Experience of working with children in a early learning environment is essential. Paediatric First Aid is desirable but not essential.
The post is offered until the end of the academic year due to a known reduction in pupil numbers.

Grade B Scale Point 7 to 11 (Hourly Rate £7.83 – £8.19 per hour) depending on experience.
Hours to be confirmed but at least three full days (8:45 am to 3.30pm) in Reception class and additional hours in preschool.
