In Dragonflies class, we have decided to continue with the theme of ‘The Romans’, as it is such an exciting topic and there is SOOOO much to learn!

Here we can be seen constructing chariots from Lego, as part of our investigation of Roman entertainment. We also did some research using the excellent books we have borrowed from the library.

Our new half term has started with a shield making day, involving designs, large pieces of cardboard and A LOT of paint. We will be using our shields as part of a dance piece, which uses Holst’s ‘Mars’ as our inspiration.

When it is ready and polished, we would love to perform it to you all!

We have also started using the tablets as a research tool, which the children are enjoying hugely. Our class looks terribly 21st Century!
