Caterpillars – Week 4

What an action packed week it has been!

We have had lots of fun being active despite the hot sun and had a brilliant time on Monday practicing for our Sports day. The three legged race was definitely our favourite to practice!

On Tuesday, we had a fantastic Sports day with lots of excellent teamwork, encouragement and fun! A big thank you to all the family members who came to make it such a special day!

On Wednesday, the Year 3 enjoyed their last swimming session for the year and were certainly pleased to get into the water in all this heat! We also enjoyed learning about our new book ‘What Happens When’ and laughing at the bizarre ideas on each page! We also enjoyed learning more about reading 4 digit grid referencing and finding certain items on the map.

On Thursday, we enjoyed creating our own ideas on what could happen next in our new book ‘What Happens When’ and gathered some data in Maths on our favourite fruits. We then used this data to answer lots of questions to find out more about the information we had gathered. In the afternoon, we then created our own mythical creatures and explained how they could become a reality using the 7 processes of life to explain.

Finally, tomorrow we are looking forward to wrapping up our work on data handling, creating some funny questions from an image and learning more about how to compose music.

Have a great Friday and weekend everyone!

Best wishes,

Joe Skinner and the Year 2/3 team.
