So, after an impromptu short and snowy break it’s been business as usual in Big Robins this week!

Jade attended a training day on Monday focusing on music in the Early Years from which she came away bubbling with ideas and enthusiasm and a bag full of instruments for us to use in the FSU! Following this training Jade led the music session on Tuesday morning in class which was lively, energetic and immensely inspiring to watch the children express themselves without the feeling of making a mistake and they had great fun in the process; well done Jade!

On Tuesday we had our ever popular PE session! In this time we had a round robin of activities including hoola-hoop, skipping roles, balls and bean bags to promote the children’s gross motor skills and get their hearts pumping!

Throughout the week we made Mother’s Day cards – not the usual hearts and flowers but made with love all the same!

But the highlight of the week was World Book Day on Thursday; We had the usual parade around the school giving us all a chance to see the wonderful costumes and to showcase the hard work  of the children and families – brilliant effort by all who took part, well done! Our winners in Big Robins (chosen by the School Council) were Lily-May as The Tooth Fairy and Bramwell as Hiccup from How To Train Your Dragon both winning a cream egg!

Don’t forget next Thursday at 3pm is our class assembly in the school hall.

Have a lovely Mother’s Day (or Monster’s Day as the children have affectionately renamed it!)
