This week we began our rehearsals for our Christmas performance; it was by far the most enthusiastic and loud first rehearsal we have ever had in Reception Class! I have heard that lots of the children singing the songs from our nativity at home “it’s a donkey ee or!” ring any bells?
We have also been preparing for our advent tree and have made some Christmas stockings to hang up for each child to a chocolate treat throughout December.
In our maths sessions we have been looking at 2D shapes to make pictures and patterns: they created pictures of their houses and Oliver did a picture of our new school!
And in our literacy we wrote letters to the owl babies and mummy.
Next week we have an Open Week in the FSU so if you know any one who is looking for a early years setting for their child tell them to come along!
Our Christmas performance will be on the 14th December at 10am and all the children costumes have already been made by the wonderful Grangie and they look awesome!
See you next week
