We are at the end of our penultimate week in Big Robins and it has flown by (no pun intended!)
There has been a fair amount of sickness around just lately but we have kept going and we’re are nearly at the end of our first half term!
Despite all the coughs and sneezes in class we have managed to learn more new sounds which are in your child’s book to practice over the weekend. The children are really getting the hang of learning a new sound and working out how they fit into words.
We have also been continuing counting practice – forwards and backwards – using our fingers to helps with counting; and yes we seem to have quite a few children with 11 fingers!!
In PE we have been developing our throwing and catching(?) skills and we played my favourite beanbag dash game which proved a great team sport and brought out the incredibly competitive side of many of the children!
We have been drawing pictures of our families and making frames for them using natural materials
Stars this week were Freddie for his great progress and enjoyment of his reading skills and Joe T for his great progress with his letter formations.
Last week next week before a short break so see you all then.
