We have had a really exciting and fun-filled first week back after our short half term break!

Amongst many other things, we have been into Forest School to look at the changing colours in our environment and we went on a colour hunt to se how many different colours we could find out there.

in PE this week we did some moving to music; pretending we were a bear in a cave and a moose out looking for food!

We have been learning even more sounds; there are new ones in your child’s sound book for you to practice over the weekend.

We also have been practising our shapes recognition in Maths and our creative skills making fireworks!

But the absolute highlight of our week was a visit from Mark Shears with his Fire Engine! Mark and his colleagues talk to the children every year around this time to explain the dangers of fireworks and bonfires and how to stay safe. He explained to the children how they fight fires and then gave a practical demonstration involving the fire hose and a target – and you can guess who the target was this year?! The children all had a chance to use the hose and have a look around the engine. As usual it was great success and we say a great big thanks to Mark and the local fire service for keeping us safe.
