Dear Parents and Children,
I am having a wonderful time at Chagford teaching the Beetles who are all lovely!
We have had a busy and fun-packed week. On Monday and Tuesday, the children made their recipes come to life in design and technology with Mrs Bayly and they looked delicious! Thank you Mrs Bayly for your hard work.
In science, we investigated which was the most biodiverse area in the school. We found lots of bugs and insects living under logs in the Quad, along with many plants, so concluded this was most biodiverse.
In literacy, we have started a new book called Animalium and will be focusing on report writing. We enjoyed learning about some of the different species on Earth and the children created lovely presentations on an animal that they then presented to the Grasshoppers. We have started a new topic in maths that focuses on place value.
The trip to We The Curious was brilliant. We saw a fantastic planetarium show, created catapults and learnt lots of new facts! Thank you to all the parents and school and museum staff who made this trip possible, we all really enjoyed ourselves.
I hope you all have a great weekend in the sunshine!
