Congratulations Beech class on a very special day yesterday! You were very welcoming, friendly and you worked hard for candidates who would like to be your new teacher. Not only that, but you performed beautifully in your class nativity at the end of the day. Very well done!

This week we have written acrostic Christmas poems. Our letters for Father Christmas will soon be ready to post! Apologies that you did not receive a letter today about ‘Bah Humbug’, our school Christmas production this year. We haven’t quite finished our letters but they will be coming home on Monday. Everyone in Beech class is going to be a Victorian toy. We discussed possible choices today. Some of us will be toy soldiers, some dolls, some clockwork toys, some spinning tops and some jack-in-a-boxes. All will be revealed on Monday.

Also next week we will be finding out more about how Christmas is celebrated around the world.

In maths we have a focus on measuring: weight, length and capacity.

In art we are doing all things Christmassy.

We also hope to be doing some seasonal cooking before the end of term.

Thank-you for your contributions to the PTFA Christmas Fayre today. Next Friday is Christmas Jumper Day to raise money for Save the Children.

Wishing you all a safe and happy weekend.

With best wishes,

Catherine
