Happy New Year and welcome to the Spring Term!

We have had a positive start to the year and a good first few days back and getting into the swing of things again after all the festivities of the past few weeks. This week we started our brand new topic on an ancient civilization – the Shang Dynasty and a unit on Forces in Science.

This week we have also been preparing ourselves for next weeks’ mock SATs. We have been working on past SATs papers in our trios, working together to understand how the papers are put together and what kind of answers we need to write

At the bottom of this post is a timetable for next week, so you know what test is coming and when. I’ve tried to keep it as close as possible to the real thing so we can get a good idea of what is going to happen, what it will look like and how it will feel. I’m sure it’ll stand us in good stead for the real thing in May. The forecast for next week is set to be a pretty chilly one – you may bring an extra jumper or fleece to wear in the hall.

Your homework this weekend is to spend 30-45minutes revising (or more if you want to!).

Have a good weekend, Mr B
