Required to start Autumn Term 2017: A full-time Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with autism and global developmental delay, in a Reception Class of 24 pupils, working the class teacher and other Foundation Stage staff. The role is Fixed Term due to a known reduction in pupil numbers and staffing implications.
We are looking for a caring individual with a creative approach to learning. You will possess the ability to develop warm, positive relationships, provide practical guidance and set clear boundaries. The successful candidate will have excellent literacy and numeracy skills (at least Grade C or above at GCSE level or equivalent) and ideally have experience of working 1:1 with special educational needs. Lunchtime support will also be required as part of the role.
Grade B £7.83 to £8.19 per hour depending on experience
8.45 am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday term time only (31 1/4 hours per week)
Actual Salary: £10,558 to £11,042 depending on experience
